Analysis Programs[edit | edit source]

Root Analysis[edit | edit source]

Once the simulation is modified for the scintillator experiment, a small root macro is written to extract the data from the simulation and prepare it for analysis. When the simulation is ran, it creates a root file of all the data from the simulation. The macro reads the root file and creates a histogram of the energy deposited by the muon when entering the scintillator. The program also creates an Ntuple that is filled with the energy deposited, initial position, and momentum of each particle.
